Submission Guidelines

Sixth&Spring is pleased to consider your book proposal on topics relating to knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting, crafts, beauty, and art instruction. When creating your book proposal, please include the following:

• An introductory synopsis of your book concept
• An outline, table of contents, or breakdown of the range of patterns that will be included in the book
• An author bio and background information addressing your experience and expertise in your chosen subject matter. If you have been published before, please list your previous title(s).
• A list of any recent books that are comparable to your proposal, along with an explanation of how your approach will be different and/or superior.
• If you are proposing a book of patterns for knitting, crochet, or sewing, please include a few sample patterns with your submission. Any writing samples you may have from previous publications should be included as well.
• Your blog, if you have one, and the social media outlets you use regularly. If you have a significant online following in any format, please let us know.
